Just tossing the idea out there. Pretty inexpensive. Minimum order is 20.
If the a-pillar's fit cutlass's, regals, monte carlos, etc... coupes, then you can get in on it also, or suggest a GB. But remember, min order of 20.
I'm going to let this run til about Dec. 15. If not enough by then, then we will have to stick to making our own.
Here is the list of for sure members.

double? triple? full pillar? or just a slip on pod?
slick
11-08-2008, 08:24 AM
Site says full length pillars. Not sure if they are slip-on's or total replacement. Looks like once they make the mold, they sell them in different styles (triple, double).

Can anyone verify if the 94-96 A-pillar trims are the same, or different, from a 88-93? I think they are, which would probably rule out the 94-96 crowd, unless there are enough people interested to do those as well.
slick
11-08-2008, 11:41 AM
And, I sent them an email asking if it is a replacement or slip-on, and if they are mixed and match, or one size.

Here's the email I sent:
A few questions: 1). Are these slip on, or full replacement a-pillar trim panels?2). Do we choose if we want single, double, triple, or once the mold ismade, you can make whatever is ordered (because our's list of people is amix and match of single's, double's, and triples, combining all would putus over the required amount)?
Email I got back:
Chris: Please read our project information page at www.gaugepods.com (http://www.gaugepods.com) for generalinformation about doing a new project. Before we can determine the exact makeup of the gauge holder we need you tosend in the trim piece for evaluation. But most applications are made toreplace the existing a-pillar trim piece. (the part from the roof to thedash) Each application requires a seperate mold to be developed. So, if you wanta double and triple, each would require a new mold and quantity. It wouldbasically be two sererate projects. We do not make single full pillars butwould make a single add-on. Once we get the trim piece we will evaluate and determine pricing andminimum order quantity. We look forward to working with you. Regards,Lo-Tek, Inc.

so lets do a triple pod. Boost, AF Ratio and volts
slick
11-09-2008, 03:03 PM
Yeah, I already had Boost and Volt's in my head, was rolling around the idea of AF.
Seems triple is what is most prefered. I will probably send in my own pillar for this, but I will need color samples from any other color interior's (unless you don't mind paint to match).

If there is enough people on board for the 94-96 GP ones I will do it.
But I want a triple (volts, oil pressure or A/F, and eventually one day, boost )

OEM part from project leader. This will be used for fabricating the mold and is non-returnable.

Also, you need to make sure that if your are ordering for a 4 door, that the 2 doors and 4 doors interchange. Otherwise, your SOL.

Slick, you may just want to do the list in the OP, and edit as people say they're in. I'd be interested in a triple pod myself (yes....even though I'm getting rid of the cars). Lotek is the same brand that makes the full replacement a-pillar pods for the Gen II w-bodies. They come with caps to cover the mounting screw holes.

Yeah, they will be $40 + shipping.
If we don't get enough for sure members (minimum is 20) within 3 weeks, then I'm just going to make my own, and pop out another for anyone who would want it.
Bigal, I can just wait til your around this area for Christmas to get the one off of you that you got for me.
