A friend of mine has a '02 ZX2. I raced him on a 2 1/2 3 mile streach. We lined up i counted down we took off. His front bumper was at the back of my door from starts to 60 then he pulled on me. BAD We both top out a 114mph he beat me by about 30-45yrds. Pathetic!! i put ocane booster in my tank plus stp fuel injection cleaner ini there. he has a 4 banger and still SMOKED me. this sucks!

'02 ZX2 5-speeds run 0-60 in about 7.5 sec and a low 15 1/4 mile

I won't mess with one in my car and I have a 3100 (30 more hp than you)

the 2.8 makes like a whopping 110hp IIRC


im sure the jeep makes hella more than that, the 2.8's 0-60 is around 12 seconds, whereas the jeeps is like just under 10

The 2.8 is a marathon engine.... not a sprinter......

It's meant to go 200K miles.... not 0-60 in 6,7,8,9,10,or even 11 seconds...LOL

Inline 6?? Then that car must have some serious problems.. Because if it really does have the inline 6 and not a V6, then it should be a 4.0L that cranks out (net) 180@4750 Horsepower and (net) 220@4000 Torque

This is so damn funny....

I remember i told a story of my lumina beating a Dodge magnum wagon... was a V6 no one believed me and i also had witnesses... but know what... now that i think back on it the story sounds kinda bs. roffle! well it wasnt... but yea was kinda funny.

left the hood popped up a bit, then drove down the street.. and bang, hood went over windshield. I said the damage was cause when I was checking the oil and a gust of wind blew it up and over the car. they believed it :lol:

I can beleive you may have stuck with him for a *little bit*, cause I've driven those Escorts and they have no balls... however once the sewing machine revs up the 2.8 would be toast.

Best my old 88 GP ever did was 11.6 0-60 (at the track) and 17.999 1/4mile. You must have a freak engine if it can do 10ft patch (or you have a 5-speed transmission....)

I thought it was funny a couple of weeks ago when I pulled up to a three lane stoplight on the far right. Middle lane was a Focus SVT with stickers and dual fart cannon out the center rear. Far left had a ZX2 with fart cannon and intake (at least sounded like intake the way he was revving it! :rolleyes:). Light went green and I stayed with the Focus for about 200' soft pedaling it...then my wife asked me when I was going to punch it? I slammed my foot to the floor, spooled the turbo, and ran away from the Focus. Looked in the rear view and ZX2 was back with the late model Grand Am that pulled in behind me! :lol:
