5 speed conversion: need to move turbo?

I want to put a 3.1T in a Fiero with a Getrag 5 speed. Did you guys who have done 5 speed swaps in your TGP's have to move the turbo with a custom or modified X-over pipe to clear the shift linkage?

The W-body shift linkage comes forward from behind the engine and I guess is low on the trans. The Fiero shift linkage comes from in front of the engine and sits high on the transmission. I think I'll have to move the turbo back a few inches.

I didn't have to move my turbo in my TurboSTE.

But I did have to make a custom bracket to hold the turbo, because the factory turbo bracket was welded to the auto trans mount bracket.
