I have a 93 Z-34 Lumi, auto. When im cruising at high way speeds in Over drive, it starts to vibrate real bad. But i can let off of it then hit the gas again and it will stop doing it for a few mins. or i can shift down to drive and it will seldom do it. What could this be?

Could be many things.. I will rule out the tranny for now since I don't know what/if the problem could be with it..

Check your tires, get them balanced. If there is a bulge/bruise then it can shake the car alot. I just replaced a tire on my car cause it was shaking the steering wheel going past 60mph. You might also want to get an alignment.

when's the last time you had a tuneup?

bad plugs/wires/o2 sensor can cause shuddering under a heavy load at low rpm's

Try torquing your lug nuts before anything else. 100 ft/lbs.

the timing belt broke on my car, and it just got fixed, and to my knowledge, they replaced all that stuff while they were at the timing belt...not sure about the o2s though...

check your plugs, might as well replace them if you pull them.

if your wires are numbered, they're probably the originals. change them.

an o2 sensor is in the exhaust downpipe. easy to change, just need a open end wrench, 7/8" i believe, correct me if i'm wrong.

easy to change
 on a 3.4? Nothing is easy on a 3.4. Maybe a water pump, and the front 3 plugs.

I'd have to go with the people that are suggesting a tire balance. If you are hesitant on spending the money, rotate them yourself first and see if it helps.

wait i noticed you had another post claiming a big loss of power

from what i've experience i had the same exact syptoms from a set of bad plug wires

is there any vibration in drive with your foot on the brake idling?

Check the coil packs. You could have one that is on its way out.
