Two quality races this weekend

First race: I was cruising home late at night, i look for to see a viper pacing me.. we pull up to a red.. i look at him and rev....he laughs, I laugh..but it was on. Light goes green, we both shoot out.. and by the end of 2nd he was 3 car lengths ahead of my..so i shut down ..hehe
I got my ass beat.. but its still fun to run a viper.

Second race:My good friend just bought a 1994 Civic Si : with exhaust, intake, body kit, rims ..to replace his 83 Monte carlo ...anyways, he is all cocky now because he thinks now he has the faster car now out of our group of friends..(yes i now very sad) were both going to the store then to my friends house..who was riding with me...We went to 30 to 100k and i had 2 car lenghts on him...raced from a stop up a slow climb... and shut down after 3rd gear cuz he was pretty car back. He didnt believe my that my car was a 4 banger.. but i poped the hood and he soon learned about the quad 4..
Kinda a easy kill and a soild ass kicknig , but i thought both races were fun

sounds like fun times...i agree....make that monte an ss & he could compete w/ you better then the freakin civic....i hate when people trade in a faster car for a slower one...ie perfect example: the person who i bought my SHO from traded it in for a v6 non convt. auto mustang.....wowzers :roll:

It was a 305.. the engine was a POS.. but he had a new black paint job nice rims.. sounds system.. am not a afan of civics but this new ride looks alright

its a fake Si then...they didnt make Si coupes until 99...my guess is its an EX with Si badges...Si's had a 1.6liter DOHC VTEC that honestly woulda owned your cutlass...maybe its even a DX as those races sound pretty lopsided...might wanna let your friend in that its not an Si tho :wink:

oh man.. I got 2.5 cat back exhaust, K&N drop in filter(cai on the way)..and some weight reduction mods
i havnt been to the track yet. none of my friends are in to drag racing.

I know you can make quads really quick.. within the next couple of months..i got some plans for this baby...w41 camshafts, w41 ecu, cai, headers, P&P, and maybe some form of boost

older grand ams did the 1/4 in 15.8 at 2900ibs. and i think am not much over 3100ibs

All HO Quad 4s are manual transmissions.

Does anyone know what one would run in the 1/4? I'd imgaine 16.7s......Beretta GTZs (Quad 4 HO) run about 15.7 decently driver in stock form. Remember....it only makes 180 hp/165 ft-lbs......that really isn't THAT much considering the car weighs an additional 300-400 pounds more than the L-body. The LQ1 makes another 30 hp and a buttload of torque over the Quad.

I beat some dude with a b16 in his crx in my riviera and it probably only ran hi 15s. Actually we raced twice.. first, i barely edged him out and second i lost traction on launch and he beat me.

there was definately somethin wrong with his car or his driving...a friend of mine drives a newer civic hatch with a stock integra motor (B18 non-vtec 140hp 20 less than a B16) and he ran 14.5 stock...my guess is you got damn lucky...

Doubt that the SI has shit tourque if im not mistaken it has about 160hp with 111trq. My Loomie has 160hp with 185lbs trq besides its not the car its the driver and i know for a fact i can destroy that kid from my neighborhood with my grandma mobile. :lol:

yeah i know how much power your grandma mobile has i drive a 3100 GP and i know a moderately driven Si would pretty much own me and i have mods...someone else back me up that a civic Si coupe would own a stock lumina 3100 auto..he must blow ass at driving and hondas practically drive themselves
